Watching birds is a great year-round activity, especially in winter. We don’t put out bird seed in the spring, summer and fall due to bears in the area, but we do put out a bird bath and enjoy watching the birds come close to the home office and use it.
In winter the bath will freeze without any heat and birds need a reliable source of drinking water so this year we’ll be putting out a bird bath with a heater.

You can purchase heaters that can be added to your existing heater but I prefer this integrated one as it will be more trouble-free than an additional heater which might move around.
