Teeth brushing for Dogs

Keeping dogs teeth clean is a challenge. Vets recommend brushing but that is easier said then done. But how to keep dogs teeth clean and their breath fresh?

Oral hygiene is just as important for dogs as it is for humans. Poor oral hygiene can lead to serious life-threatening conditions including kidney, liver, and heart muscle damage. According to the American Veterinary Medical Association, 80 percent of dogs show signs of canine periodontal disease as early as age three.

Dry food helps prevent tartar buildup as well as dental chew treats. Our little guy looks for one every night after dinner. He stakes out the closet where we keep the chews and will even sleep next to the door hoping it will appear. I think the chewing helps him settle down for the night.

I’ve found these products work great with our Westie.
