Santa Marta Daiquiri

Friday night cocktail!

If you had told me a year ago that I would be saying the words Zoom and Christmas in the same sentence I would have laughed out loud. While many things have changed over the past ten months, many things are still the same.

We’re still up early on Christmas morning, and stockings are always first. Turkey is great, but gravy is better, and fruitcake is best when it’s basted with bourbon.

Cheers tonight, with the Santa Marta Daiquiri, a holiday riff on the natural version of the drink. Love from our family to yours!

Make one yourself!

  • 2 1/3 oz light rum
  • 3/4 oz lime juice
  • 1/2 oz rich sugar syrup (2:1)
  • 1/2 oz chilled water1 bar spoon Kirsch

Combine all ingredients except Kirsch in shaker with ice. Shake to chill and strain into coupe glass. Float spoon of cherry Kirsch on top. Merry Christmas!
