Note on pricing. “Pin” is the least expensive Stern pinball machine designed for home use only – no coin door. All the other pinball machines are arcade ready (or home use of course).
“Pro” level is the next level or tier up. Full arcade ready with coin door. Pros have a few less features than then limited editions. They are designed as starter level and for operators who don’t mind a few less moving parts that might wear out.
Premium tier level adds some extra toys and features while the Limited Edition adds even more features for the serious collector. Game play on all levels is generally the same except sometimes a major feature like upper or lower playfield or moving dino toy will be missing on the Pro level models.
There are only a few “Pin” home machines but all of the regular arcade quality pinball machines from Stern Pinball come in three flavors – pro, premium and limited edition.
The exception to the rule is games with special licensing deals such as Beatles and Batman ’66 where the trim levels might not include a Pro model.
