Check out this teeny, tiny house in Vermont!

Tiny House – Tiny houses really aren’t all that new. Despite the rash of tiny or small house shows on the home and garden cable channels, small houses really were the norm back in the day.

Cabins, capes, bungalows – people had less money, less stuff and didn’t need to impress the neighbors with giant kitchens and showers that can fit five people.

Tiny houses were normal like this small house in Vermont. Sure the marble quarry owner had a big mansion up on the hill and the successful farmer with nine daughters and a big shotgun collection had a big old farmhouse but plenty of Vermonters lived with small homes.

Call them “tiny” houses made these days in comparison to mansions but small homes function just fine for people who have work to do outside the home. Much better to have a big barn.
