“Chickens at the Barn” has become one of my best selling fine art photographs.
Just about every day I pass this barn in Etna, New Hampshire, on the outskirts of Hanover, NH, home of Dartmouth College in what is known as the Upper Valley region of New Hampshire and Vermont along the Connecticut River. The chickens live here, as well as a few cows.
The area is rural for the most part with village centers. Etna is the most rural section Hanover, which compared to “Downtown Metropolitian Etna” is a thriving metropolis with it’s restaurants, hotels, inns, stores, theaters, museum and of course the Dartmouth campus.
Meanwhile in Etna there are homes, a post office, fire station and country store. As well as an old farm with a beautiful barn complete with cows and chickens.
