Iceland – A small wooden chair painted white sits along on top of a remote overlook of black volcanic rock.
The desolate valley stretches below with mountains in the distance. This might be a scene from another planet for all we know, except for the thin ribbon of a road in the distance reflecting light on it’s wet surface as it snakes through the landscape.
The story of how fine art photographer Edward M. Fielding came to set up his camera and tripod in front of this unique subject in Iceland is told in this short video.

Not every photograph I take requires this much effort but “Iceland Chair” took a bit of traveling to the end of the world to discover and photograph.
