Home Automation: Doorbell Camera

I needed a doorbell camera that was well made and could be integrated into Home Assistant – I found the highly regarded REOLINK Video Doorbell PoE Camera. https://amzn.to/3VwZhts

This line of cameras offer easy integration with Home Assistant. Reolink even published a how to manual for using their cameras with Home Assistant. https://reolink.com/blog/reolink-home-assistant/

Compatible with Home Assistant

2K+ Video Doorbell – Reolink Video Doorbell PoE/WiFi

Reolink Video Doorbell is a smart doorbell that captures 2K+ resolution videos and helps you monitor every movement on the door.

It automatically detects persons and sends instant alerts on your devices. You can monitor your front door 24/7 through sharp and clear videos.

You can get a Wi-Fi or PoE doorbell, depending on your preference. Both offer flexible storage options, including microSD card and NVR.

You can communicate with the person on the door through two-way audio and respond more quickly.

This Smart doorbell camera has the following features:

  • 180 Degree Diagonal View
  • 5MP IP Security Camera
  • Outdoor/weatherproof
  • Chime V2
  • 2-Way Talk
  • Secured Local Storage
  • Plug & Play
  • No Monthly Fee

Home Assistant users love this camera. The only drawback is the microSD card is inside the doorbell. So if someone steals the camera, they also steal the footage.
